Social Media

Enter Social Media - The "Community" Age

"Community. It should be a place where each individual's dignity and self-respect is strengthened by the respect and affection of his neighbors. It should be a place where each of us can find the satisfaction and warmth which comes from being a member of the community of man. This is what man sought at the dawn of civilization. It is what we seek today." - Lyndon B. Johnson

Social Media Is Community

Social media has come of age as a tool for communication. Many business people have been threatened by the phenomenon, while others chose to either ignore or add only a passive voice to the conversation. Very few companies really understand the importance of social media, and even fewer are actually involved in the conversation. For lack of a better definition of social media, it is just that, an ongoing conversation. In the months and years to come, business will either embrace social media, or quite frankly, be left out of the discourse all together.

Pamil Visions is immersed in this interactive community. This is where our online expertise originated. We are inextricably linked to the Web, social media, and to a vibrant global community of partners, collaborators and friends. Through the various social media platforms; social networking, news sharing, photo sharing, blogs, game sharing, video sharing, virtual reality and reference - we effectively engage the Web as few other firms do - personally.

Understanding the roles people play in disseminating information via social media is crucial. First however, we need to accept the reality that people are enamored with having both "voice" and integration in this new system of interaction, and that they will never go back to the monologue. We tell our clients' stories too, but just as often, we relate the voice of the online community to our clients. Embracing community is not even a choice actually...it is a foregone necessity of civilization.
